Thousands of years ago in this land with the coming of the " Black Ships..."
...There arose a warrior called Hitokiri Battosai(best know as the BlackRider)
Felling men with his bloodstained blade. He closed the turbulent Bakumatsu Era...
...And slashed open the age know as Meiji(or modern day)
Then he vanished and with the flow of years. Becamea legend and a myth.
Now he appears of a phantom and in the middle of this land...
...this tale begins...
The greatest of the warriors.
He did his deeds in the shadows so there is no record of him in history.
However some of the people worte there stories and accounts down.
But..the legends say he slew everyone in his way with teh speed of his murderous Satsujin-Ken...
No one dared stand against him still the mention of the BlackRider strikes terrible fear.
He was extraordinarly strong..
and killed an extraordinary number of people.
The name men gave him was Black Rider others called him " Hitokiri Battosai."
No one has escaped alive from his unleashed sword.
All slaughtered...

THE DARK IS RISING
When the Dark comes rising, six shall turn it back; Three from the circle, three from the track; Wood, Bronze, iron; water, fire, stone; Five will return, and one go alone.
Iron for the birthday, bronze carried long; Wood from the burning, stone out of song; Fire int he candle-ring, water from the thaw; Six signs the circle, and the grail gone before.
Fire on the mountain shall find the harp of gold Played to wake the Sleepers, oldest of the old; Power from the green witch, lost beneath the sea; All shall fidn the light at last, silver on the tree.
_____________________________________________________________
White in the moon the long road lies, The moon stands blank above; White in the moon the long road lies That leads me from my love.
Still hangs the edge without a gust, Still, still the shadows stay: My feet upon the moonlit dust Pursue the ceaseless way.
The world is round, so t ravellers tell, And straight though reach the track, Trudge on, trudge on, ' twill all be well, The way will guide one back.
But ere the circle homeward hies Far, far must it remove; White in the moon the long road lies That leads me from my love

On the day of the dead, when the year too dies. Must the youngest open the oldest hills Through the door of the birds, where the breeze breaks. There fire shall fly from the raven boy. And the silver eyes that see the wind, And the Light shall have the harp of gold.
By the pleasant lake the Sleepers lie. On Cadfan's Way where the kestrels call; Though grim from the grey King shadows fall, Yet singing the golden harp shall guide To break their sleep and bid them ride.
When light from the lost land shall return, Six Sleepers shall ride, six Signs shall burn, And where the midsummer tree grows tall By Pendragon's sword the Dark Shall Fall. [/i] "Thank You Shadow,...i mean Prince.." she paused not finishing her sentence, looking at him. " You aren't quite like the rest of us, are you?" "Not quite " said Shadow. Jane said, " I hope we shall see you again, someday." Shadow said " I'm pretty sure you will." * * * Mr and Mrs Penhallow stood watching this farewell. Jane looked up into Shadows beautiful blue eyes. " Promise " she said softly " Promise me i'll see you again!" her tone said it all, she was begging and demanding him to promise her. " I can't promise you that, but i will promise you this " he knelt down to be eye level with the elven year old girl. " Time can pass but memories will stay, i shall not forget you. When and were you will see me again i know not. For the time i promise you this, i'll never forget. Shall that promise suffice for the time?" the question came as a surprise to Jane his words were different. " I guess so " she said thoughtfully as if not certain. Looking sadly up at him her blonde hair whipped around her, her brown eyes watched him. " I'll miss you." Jane said sadly looking at him as if wishing, she could go with him. Merriman came up " Jane were ready to go " he said calmly and huskily. The tone of his voice wavered as he saw she was talking to Shadow. The look he got stopped all questions. " Come " Shadow said softly and Jane walked along side him. Jogging to keep up with his swift stride. Taking her up to the top of Keriman Head. Jane instantly spotted the standing stones. She could hear the waves crashing upon the headland, the smell of the ocean air surrounding them. Looking to Shadow she wondered ' who is he really? i wish i knew i wish i could stay with him.' " curious by nature are you?." Shadow said calmly. " i don't know i suppose so " Jane anwsered smoothly. Jane leaned against him wrapping her arms around his. " i wish i could stay with you " she said unaware she said it aloud. Her face turned red with when she releaized this. Looking shly and uncertainly up at him. Meeting his blue eyes noticing she was embarrased he said nothing. This seemed to help and calm her nerves if just a bit. Laying her head back on his arm she took a deep breath. " where are you going to go?" Jane's question was unexpected even if he has been asked that alot. Looking to her " where ever i end up " he said calmly and softly to her. " Will you ever come and visit me?" she asked curiously of him. " In St. Austell i mean " Jane asked hopefully beaming up at him. " If i'm near there i'll stop by " And so he did Jane, Simon, and Barny's parents were surprised by this. Shadow knocked on the door it was Jane's birthday she is twelve years old now. " I'll get it! " Jane annouced boldy and rushed to the door. The knob turned the door squeeked in protest it was snowing out. " SHADOW!" Jane's voice unnaturally high when she saw him. Throwing herself on to him Shadow picked her up with one arm. Swooping her off her feet Jane wrapped her arms happily around his neck. Laying her head plesantly on his shoulder " You remembered you remembered my birthday!" she stated proudly and thrilled. " oh this is truly the best birthday and present i've ever got " she said for only him to hear her. " May i come in?" he asked her gently " OH yes yes!" she said not able to concel her exicitement at seeing him. " Mom, Dad this is Shadow " Jane called to them happily as Shadow walked inside........ Many years later Jane was in college know one knows what happend after that. It is said he visted her a few times, but this became rare. Jane not knowing what to think, it seems to her her best friend had left her alone. A few times she saw him sometimes she did not see him for years. Yet she knew he was dead she knew where he was buried. She had gotten lost thats how she met. By his grave there is another it cannot be seen, unless you go the the end. Farthest from the pass hidden by the great, and beautiful black tomb. There is a smaller one with a engraving on it.
Jane Drew 1159-1228 the engravings at the bottom where to old to readable, yet the name and date nearly where as well...
